Wow.
This book contains a blend of multiple genres, such as paranormal, suspense, and romance.
While the prose lacks a measure of finesse, I found that my reading engagement was high during most of this novel.
K. Weikel has quite the imagination, creating a nightmarish realm depicting ungodly creatures you would never see in the real world. She was all over the place, and I noticed references to her other works. The book cover is fascinating.
The ending made me cringe because I am not into romance. Also, I wish Kyle spoke his feelings like a man rather than being sheepish about it.
A few times, I found myself desiring for this book to be shorter.
I did not give this book a five-star rating because it is not edited and because I did not like how Kyle was shy at the end about his feelings.
