The 5 AM Club: Own Your Morning. Elevate Your Life by Robin Sharma

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

If you want to elevate your life, read this book.

I have a love-hate relationship with this book. I laughed out loud when the billionaire started twerking, but it made no sense that he would do so with no music playing, just using “imaginary music” in his head. The same goes for him, tap dancing and grooving. This book was drawn out, but the lessons are invaluable. I enjoyed some twists, but a helicopter coming out of nowhere because the billionaire hit a magic button? C’mon!

I highlighted many notes while reading it, so I’ll definitely revisit them. However, I won’t re-read the entire story. I didn’t like how Robin Sharma kept referring to the main characters as the billionaire, the entrepreneur, and the artist. Why not use their names? It’s strange.

I also didn’t enjoy reading about Stone’s failure to help his daughter. The billionaire’s failure to get remarried or even date is weird, too, chiefly when you consider how much he works out. His libido should be off the charts. His issues are unclear at the end (this is the best I can do without spoiling the story).
