It’s a great short story.

Wealth Exposed has an excellent book cover, title, and subtitle. The fictional story was impressive, and the bonuses were so good that it made me realize I have to revisit one of his previous books that I’ve read (Unscripted). I recommend this short story and would reread it. I highlighted a bunch of texts as I read through it.

Pocket Publishing: Write and Publish a Book on Your Smartphone by Laura Bennett

Short and sweet.

Laura Bennett created Pocket Publishing on her smartphone, including the book cover, which looks good. I couldn’t believe it. It was repetitive in a few places, but the information provided, along with the brevity of this book, makes it worthwhile. I want to create a book on my phone, preferably a short story. I can do that, and I’ll know what applications to use.

I recommend this short book if you’re looking for a mobile way to make books, and I see myself rereading it.

Unscripted: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Entrepreneurship by M.J. DeMarco

Excellent.

This book is a fantastic resource that I will refer to again and again. I highly recommend it to readers who enjoy finance and self-help books. The book cover is spectacular, and the book blurb is catchy. While reading through it, I couldn’t help but feel that this book is too long. But when I finished it, I felt relieved and accomplished. I recommend getting only the paperback or hardcover versions of this book. I underlined and took a lot of notes along the way.

The only reason I rated this four stars was because of the cursing and blasphemy.

Bilingual book in English/Spanish for Intermediate Learners: A Thrilling Crime Mystery (The Dark Series) by Ariel Sanders

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A good short story combined with language learning.

The idea of combining two languages for learning while reading is great. I honestly believe that this boosted my score of this book from four to five stars, as it gives this short story added readability. For those wondering, it’s only seven chapters long. The Spanish translation and glossaries make me want to reread it.

I recommend this book in either eBook or paperback format, as both are excellent for reference when learning Spanish. The beauty of this book truly revealed itself after reading it in English.

Grace Under Fire: Story 21 in the Tales of Suspense Series by Jerry Jamison

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An expertly written psychological thriller.

The elements of mystery, combined with a high level of suspense, had me captivated. I cannot wait to read more stories by Jerry Jamison. The book cover is excellent, the characters were realistic, and I enjoyed reading the story from Grace’s POV. The pace is a little slow in the beginning, but it picks up quickly. The book length is perfect, and I truly enjoyed this short story.

I highly recommend it! Grace Under Fire is a perfect way to counter a reading slump or to try something new. The formatting wasn’t perfect, but it was only in a few spots, and Jerry Jamison can easily fix it with another read through.

Helpful.

The book cover is great; the charts and other visuals in this book are excellent. As I read through this book, I learned a lot about BTC and cryptocurrency. The glossary and tools were fantastic add-ons. I was happy I had a paperback version of this book, as I highlighted a lot in it. The author was clever in including affiliate links and QR codes to make an extra profit from his work. I just wish this book were longer.

Great!

The only reason I gave this four stars is that it would benefit from keener editing. Other than that, I like the book cover and the pictures in the book. While a lot of narration was used, the acronyms and stories were clever. The key points are helpful, and this collection is solid. I may reread this collection in the future. I recommend it.

A fantastic read.

I was surprised by some ratings and reviews from other people, but I don’t agree with them. It felt like I highlighted 75% of the eBook! I thought it was interesting, and I liked that it’s a quick read. Now, I’m going to purchase a paperback copy of this book for when I read through it again.

If finance and self-help are your thing, you’ll probably enjoy this book. I recommend it.

A Cold Day in Hell by Lissa Marie Redmond

It gets better toward the end.

Expertly written, I kept thinking whether I should give this four or five stars. I went with four stars because I liked it, but I didn’t think it was amazing. However, this is a strong police procedural, and the writing is good. I thought the trial was long, but this novel is realistic. I wonder who would portray the main character, Lauren, if this were adapted as a movie or TV series.

I liked how this story took place in Buffalo because that’s where I’m from. Although some of it was fictional, it was entertaining. I will read the next book in the series, and there is a cliffhanger at the end of A Cold Day in Hell.

With a Vengeance by Riley Sager

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fantastic.

The book cover is great, the title is fitting, and the story is well written. While I prefer clean reads, there was minimal foul language. While this book isn’t perfect, the story picks up around page 75. Before that, Riley Sager takes the time to world-build and provide backstories for the characters. There is horror, but the mystery and thrills are more prevalent in this story. I hope Riley Sager considers focusing more on mystery and thrills in the future.

This novel reminded me of Murder on the Orient Express, Clue, and movies featuring famous actors in train sequences, like Tom Cruise and Liam Neeson. I would consider re-reading this at around page 75 and on because so many things happened. There were a few surprises that kept me engaged while reading.

This is the second book I’ve read from Riley Sager, and I’ll continue to read more. I want to note I enjoyed this novel much more than Survive the Night. I can see this book being adapted into a movie.
